Hi everybody. You can call me Brit. I’m a Cuban American wife and Mommy to 3 rambunctious little boys. I learned to cook in my later 20s in an attempt to bring my foods—the foods I had since I could eat solids—into my marital kitchen. A few years later we discovered that our son Ben has various food allergies, and I came to appreciate Cuban cooking even more for his sake.
Aaron, my husband and tech ninja, is the man behind the website, and he’s also planning to contribute some yummy recipes of his own as he has done a lot of experimenting with allergy friendly baking over the past couple of years.
It’s a blessing to our family that Cuban cooking is not only allergy friendly, but affordable and delicious. We hope that we’ll be able to share that blessing here with all of you. Happy cooking!
You can find more information about the allergens we are currently avoiding by reading our allergy statement. The majority of the recipes we post here will be allergy-friendly by nature, whereas others will be adaptable. Whatever the case may be, we hope you find what you’re looking for.

As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. We will never advertise a product we don’t believe in, and we won’t clutter the site; we hate that stuff as much as you do. Our goal is just to point people in the right direction, especially if they or a family member are dealing with food allergies. We already have certain brands we prefer and want to tell people about; partnering with Amazon in this way just helps us keep the lights on.
